There must be another magazine using the same name. The original Rolling Stone has transmitted little intelligent political thought since P.J. O’Rourke left. It has had a glut of PC, reactionary drivel catering to people that never outgrew their freshman politics.

You must not have read the series with the guy embedded with troops in Iraq that was some of the best reporting thus far on the war and did not take either a pro or anti war stance but attempted to give realistic view of life on the ground for those there. And pray tell, what are freshman politics compared to the wit and wisdom you have gained over the years?

I must confess I did not read the article you mentioned regarding the Irag War. It may boast the merit you suggested. I will earnestly seek it out. Truthfully though, do you not see why I would suspect such an ostensibly neutral article to be the exception as opposed to the rule? RS is a decidely left leaning publication and that is fine as long as it doesn't try to act otherwise. It is not National Review nor is it Mother Jones or any other magazine that is honest about where it comes down on politics. There is nothing wrong with RS being left-wing as long as they don't make fatuous claims of neutrality. As to the last sentence of your reply, is that a question? Putting a question mark at the end of a sentence doesn't automatically make it a well thought out query. I would gladly end the debate on the ideological bent of RS if that is fine with you.
